Halterworth Training School

The Halterworth Training School Partnership (HTSP) is a very popular, established Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme. We work in close collaboration with the University of Winchester, an OFSTED Outstanding-rated institution, to deliver exceptional teacher training. Committed to excellence, we continuously seek innovative ways to enhance our programme.

Our School-Led PGCE is a one-year teacher training route that leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Trainees gain hands-on experience by working in a school four days a week while attending training sessions on Fridays, led either by HTSP or the University of Winchester.

School-Based Training is an ideal choice for those looking to establish a career within the network of schools where they train. Whenever possible, we support trainees in finding teaching opportunities within our group of schools.
